Rev. Richard Vincent
Rev. Richard Vincent was born in Augusta, Maine in 1970. He was raised by his mom during the early years of his life and in later years he was cared for by aunts and uncles. He considers his Aunt Beverly Vincent, who was the means of him finding true salvation, to have been one of the most important role models in his life.
Rev. Richard Vincent graduated from Nokomis Regional High School of Newport, Maine in 1988. He also graduated from the United Pentecostal Bible Institute (now Northeast Christian College) of Fredericton, New Brunswick in 1991. Richard Vincent commenced his preaching ministry at the age of 20 and Pastoral ministry at the young age of 23.
On June 18, 1994 Richard became married to the love of his life Daffaine Mae Pottle of Mars Hill, Maine. Daffaine is foremost a wonderful wife and mother. They have three marvelous children, Michaela, Storm and Mycah. Daffaine has worked in the business field as a secretary and news analyst. She has also served as a foster parent. Daffaine attended Beal College of Bangor, Maine and Northern Maine Community College of Presque Isle.
The Vincent’s first congregation, located in Cherryfield, Maine, with a town populous of 800 people became a growing congregation during their five year tenure. After faithfully serving at the Cherryfield Pentecostal Church, the calling of God led the Vincent’s to Fort Fairfield, where Richard would assume the duties of pastor at the Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church on August 16, 1999. Under the Vincent’s leadership at the Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church, the ground breaking efforts to launch the opening and establishment of Dirigere Christian Academy happened in September of 2004. During the 8 ½ years that the Vincent’s would serve at the Fort Fairfield United Pentecostal Church, together they mentored and trained a ministerial team to help meet the needs of this congregation and beyond. As a result six men have served as pastors, of which, two are currently serving as Assistants to the Pastor and one young lady is a Licensed Minister.
Currently as the Pastor of The Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church, Rev. Vincent is humbled to follow in the footsteps of great Pastors and Preachers who preceded him in his ministry.
The Vincents have been at Abundant Life Since 2008 and God has graciously poured out his blessings on our congregation and community through their ministry. Rev. Vincent currently serves as a Chaplin for the Sussex Fire Department as well as volunteers in many different capacities throughout the Sussex area. They are enjoying their ministry at the Abundant Life United Pentecostal Church in which they seek to further the Kingdom of Jesus Christ.
Rev. Richard Vincent desires to demonstrate a model of integrity among his brethren by living out Biblical truths and Godly convictions, staying committed to his family and lastly, but certainly not the least, remaining everyone’s servant.
